Personalized Overnight Care

Before the stay, we review your dog’s meals, medications, sleeping routine, walking schedule, personality, health needs and household instructions.

Overnight care may include:

  • Meals prepared according to your instructions

  • Regular walks, potty breaks and daily exercise

  • Companionship, affection and enrichment

  • Medication administered as directed

  • Respect for your dog’s established household routine

  • Frequent photo and video updates

  • Consistent communication throughout the stay

  • Coordination with your emergency contact and veterinarian when necessary

We pay attention to changes in appetite, energy, mobility and behavior and communicate promptly if something seems unusual.

Overnight With Jared—and an Adventure Day

For eligible dogs staying overnight with Jared from Monday through Thursday, daytime care includes an Adventure Day at no additional charge.

Your dog can spend the day hiking, swimming, sniffing, playing and exploring with a thoughtfully matched pack before returning for dinner, rest and a comfortable night.

Participation is available to dogs who have completed the introduction process and have been approved for group outings. The day’s destination and activity level are adjusted around staffing, weather and the dogs attending.

Current vaccinations—including leptospirosis—and active flea and tick prevention are required for Adventure Days.

Care From People You Can Trust

Jared’s approach has been shaped by years of volunteering, fostering and supporting animal-rescue organizations, including PAWS Chicago, One Tail at a Time and the Michigan Animal Rescue League.

That experience taught him the importance of patient introductions, secure handling, careful observation and respecting each dog’s individual comfort level.

Katherine, Annie and Holly follow the same thoughtful approach. Care instructions, schedules and important health information are communicated clearly so every caregiver understands what your dog needs.

Safety and Preparation

Every overnight arrangement begins with a meet and greet. For care in a sitter’s home, compatibility with the home, resident animals and sleeping environment must be confirmed in advance.

Before the stay, families provide:

  • Feeding and medication instructions

  • Veterinary and emergency-contact information

  • Secure walking equipment

  • Relevant medical and behavioral history

  • Preferred sleeping and bathroom routines

  • Enough food and medication for the reservation

Availability is intentionally limited so every dog receives meaningful attention and individualized care.
